What We Need From You
Please try to submit the same information for quotations as you would for the actual design (that way nobody gets hurt!). Electronic files are STRONGLY recommended: we can quickly evaluate your design and feel confident about our delivery date. Any Cadstar files (design files, library files, etc.) should be supplied in Archive (CPA) format, NOT their binary format.
Your input package should include:
- MECHANICAL OUTLINE: PDF, DXF, or REDAC CADIF or CPA files.
- Board outline dimensions, cutouts, chamfers, and bevels.
- Mounting hole locations, diameters, clearances, and whether plated or non-plated, isolated or tied to a specific net.
- Connector locations and orientations, (preferably referenced by their PINS, NOT the body outline), pin numbering arrangement.
- Any component height, assembly, or thermal clearances.
- PARTS LIST: Excel, Word, or text files.
- All components should be referenced to a manufacturer data sheet, sample parts, or a previous use (please include the reference designation previously used!).
- One component reference per line prefered, clearly referenced to spec sheet device name. PLEASE note that many spec sheets include MULTIPLE packaging options.
- NET LIST: Most ASCII (text) net list formats, ZUKEN-REDAC or PADS preferred.
- If pin names are included, please make sure they can be mapped UNAMBIGUOUSLY to the physical location on the part.
- Any nets that are to be power planes or have unusual current or spacing requirements should be explicitly referenced by signal name in your design notes.
- DESIGN NOTES: Excel, Word, or text files. Or just tell us..
- Please describe ANY addtional requirements for part placement, routing, design rules, text placement, layer topology and/or target impedences, test point requirements, etc.
- Documentation items should include titles, part and assembly numbers, fabrication notes, sample formats, company logos, special assembly instructions, etc.
